FRENCH POLYNESIA: a unique paradise in the South Pacific

French Polynesia is a French overseas collectivity almost floating in the midst of Oceania, it is composed of several groups of Polynesian islands and atholls in the South Pacific. This island, which is popular to the rich and the glamorous, is famous for its world-renowned paradise-like beaches and resorts. Two of its known islands are BoraBora and Tahiti, with the latter being the largest area and the most inhabited, it is also the seat of its capital, Papeete. This fascinating place in the southern pacific, is said to be the most beautiful island in the world!

This French protectorate is a great escape, a splendid getaway where one can truly enjoy the captivating gift of nature blended well on its idyllic location in the middle of the Pacific, moreover, this place offers lots of privacy as some of the finest resorts of the territory, such as groups of Leewards and the Marquesas Islands, are isolated and seemed shrouded with lush forests. Its blue lagoons and romantic beaches, set against the backdrop of thick vegetation, sweet-scented Tahitian flowers and clear aquamarine water. BoraBora, which is known to travelers as the "Pearl of the Pacific" because of its romantic and natural beauty of the sea, mystified tourists, it has a picturesque surrounding with fantastic luxury resorts and chalets, the most famous are Mont Otemanu and Plage de Marita offering a panoramic view of the South seas.

The Tahiti Pearl Regatta is an annual celebration of seamanship in the island which saw the gatherings of sports enthusiasts all over the world who gleefully watched and participate in this unique sailing activity on the month of May, usually kicks of around May 12 to 16. Participants sailed through the triangle islands of Raiatea, Bora-Bora and Tahaa in a festival recognized as more than just sports competition, but celebration as well.

With its unique setting into the South Pacific and lush tropical flowers, French Polynesia is one breathtaking  place worthy to explore, the island offers a relaxing environment of a romantic holiday with a backdrop of a magnificent sunset and a relaxing sunrise. Bora Bora, in particular, has some of the most alluring lagoons in the world, it has unique luxury villas and chalets that constructed along its crystal blue water, it has a splendid environment of tropical fruits, flowers and wild trees, its coastline is blessed with creamy sand and sparkling aquamarine water, a great holiday escape for friends and lovers. Tahiti is another spectacular island in French Polynesia, its capital, Papeete looks like a European city rather than a tropical island. It has an international airport in Faa, just few miles from Papeete, international flights include Air France, Air Tahiti Nui, Polynesian Airlines and Hawaiian Air. Tahitian getaway usually costs $1,600.00 for 5 days with a package travel tour to Tahiti, Bora Bora and Moorea islands. Going to French Polynesia requires no visa, just a six-month valid passport, tourists may took a flight either from New Zealand, Hawaii, France or Los Angeles in the United States. The territory has no US embassy or consulate.
