Pearl Farm is a world-class beach resort located in the island garden city of Samal, North of Davao, travelers can get there through a boat ride from Lizada wharf in Lanang, Davao city. The schedule is strictly followed so travelers are advised to be on the wharf approximately 30 minutes before the departure.

It's one of the most stunning beach resorts in the Davao province where guests are treated to a luxury accommodation. The place is fully secured with 24-hour staff service. The area is not huge, in fact, it is just situated at the foot of the mountain and along the slim shoreline, but the place has a terrific view of the sea and the amenities are fantastic!

I was able to join my friends at Pearl Farm last August 22, 2012. Two of them were on their honeymoon so we're like taking into a honeymoon entourage adventure (lol!). We stayed at the Samal House where our friend, Joice Lagat, who sponsored our accommodation (except for food), booked three rooms (or house) for us.

The Samal Houses are floating by the sea and quite far from the Parola Wharf and Maranao restaurant but guests can request a shuttle ride to take them back and forth around the resort and to the house. The house is similar to a hotel room except that this is built individually for an ultimate privacy.

The only lacking at this house is the wifi connection, so if you want to surf the net please make sure you have a broadband plug-in or else you will be compelled to go to the Maranao restaurant area to avail the wifi connection. But the signal for cellular phone is working well.

We were six plus a child who went there and it was truly a fantastic experience. We enjoyed our stay and each moment was not wasted as there were plenty of fun, laughter and frolicking around the area.

The Samal house has a whooping rate of P10,000 per night!But luckily for us, we were able to get a discount-employee's rate courtesy of Jing Tagaan. We spent dinner at the resort's restaurant that night where guests can choose either to go ala carte or buffet-eat-all-you-can style, we chose the latter. It has a tag price of P1,100 per person!

On the following day we're off to Malipano Island with a free boat ride. This island is just on the opposite side of Pearl Farm with exclusive villas. This romantic island is surrounded with tropical plants, coconut trees and well-maintained lawn. There's a Gazebo available for booking on special events like conferences, weddings and seminars.
